New Staff Accounts
Recommended steps for New Staff logging in for the first time
Step #1
Go to the District Website OR The Hub > click Staff > click Outlook
OR
Open a web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox) and type mail.saanichschools.ca
Step #2
Login to Outlook on a Chromebook, Windows or Mac device
Do not log in the first time using the Outlook App on a Phone or Tablet
Please refer to the information in the Welcome Email you received.
Enter your new @saanichschools.ca Email Address
Enter your temporary password
Update your password following the Password Rules
- At least eight characters
- At least one number
- At least one capital letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one special character ie !,$,%
NOTES
Once these steps are completed it will be at least 15 minutes before a user can log in to a Thin Client device in a school.
Users can set up Outlook on their phones and tablets immediately after updating the password in Outlook
