The contacts button lists all individuals with extensions, schools and your personal contact list together.

The phonebooks button lists all the phonebooks.

Contacts: Are all contacts together, like the previous menu.

Local #: Is your personal contact list (side bar on phone which you have to enter yourself)

Schools: All the schools are listed

Internal: Just internal extensions

You can select a contact that way or just dial their extension.
