File Resource

If users do not need to edit the document, the best format to provide for students is a PDF.

There are two ways you can add a file resource.  A straight forward simple way, is to pic, turn editing on by clicking the Turn editing on button found in the top right-hand corner of the page underneath your name and profile picture.  Click on the grid topic you would like to add the file to, a pop-up window will open of that grid to and simply drag and drop the file from your computer into the grid topic.  The file link will be called the same name as the file you added as a resource.

The second way to add a file, provides you with a few more options on how you would like Moodle to handle the document you are providing to students.  turn editing on by clicking the Turn editing on button found in the top righthand corner of the page underneath your name and profile picture.  Click on the grid topic you would like to add the file to, a popup window will open of that grid, click on Add a resource and select file.  This will take you to another page called Adding a new File to ___________ Resources.  Give the file link a name and description, click on add...  in the content box, and once finished click Save and display to view the file you added.
